Hi, thanks for taking the time to do this interview, I’m sure many people will be interested to read about you and your Auction Inspector!

How long have you been using Auction Inspector yourself?

I’ve been using Auction Inspector for just over a year now. During that time I’ve found a myriad of hidden niche market. I didn’t have time to focus on them all of course, but I now successfully sell products targeting 3-5 different niche markets on eBay.

I must admit, I was very impressed with the amount of material and information inside the members area, do you think people will get confused with all the steps to set up the system?

Quite the opposite! Based on the feedback we have received from users, we believe Auction Inspector to be a very simple and intuitive software to use.

To get started, new users simply select the eBay site they wish to search, enter a product name or choose a category, and begin the search. It’s possible to have results just ten minutes after download!  More advanced search features are available as users gain confidence with the system, but these are entirely optional.

We have also created a video tutorial that takes members step-by-step through the process of installing and running Auction Inspector. The tutorial teaches new members exactly how to operate Auction Inspector in order to get the best results. The video is accompanied by a written guide that can be printed off and placed beside you as you work.

What is the one piece of advice you would like to give to my readers when trying to set up an online business?

You should dedicate at least a couple of weeks to product research before deciding what to sell.  A lot of people see an online business as being faster and requiring less effort than an offline one, but the fact is, market research is just is important as ever.

We see sellers all the time who have lost $200-$1000+ by splashing out on a product that they didn’t properly explore first. Some jump on a trend, while others get tempted by a clearance lot priced very cheaply. The problem is, trend products will usually be highly competitive making profit margins tight, while clearance lots are often junk that no one wants to buy.

You need to find what people want first and then go out and find a supplier.  That’s what Auction Inspector is all about: helping people research and find markets that will make money.

Can you tell me a little more about your system and what extra support members will receive when they purchase your system.

In the past couple of years there has been a mind-set shift among eBay sellers.  Fierce competition means that the days are gone when you could make a fortune from the latest craze. Niche markets are the way of the future.

eBay has millions of users, but what many people don’t realize is that you only need  to focus on a small proportion of them to make money: for example, cat lovers or dieters.  There are so many groups of people looking for very specific stuff that currently isn’t being supplied. Auction Inspector helps you find these gaps in the market by trawling through eBay’s Want It Now listings and locating items people want and no one is selling.

The software allows you to choose whether you wish to check eBay USA, eBay Australia, eBay Canada or eBay UK. There are two reasons for this (a) you can focus on what people want in your own country or (b) you can search for something with high demand in another country that you can source easily in your own.

When you buy Auction Inspector, you get regular software updates, an excellent bonus book entitled “The Auction Inspector Complete Guide to Making a Fortune On eBay”, and of course, the video tutorials and notes. On top of that, we also provide email support for members who have questions that go beyond the FAQ or feedback and suggestions.

Do you have any other sites, ebooks, software or systems for sale that you would like to mention in this interview?

Readers may be interested in downloading our free Auction Alert software that hunts out items selling far below their real worth on eBay.  Auction Alert enables you to set up an automatic alert by specifying the name of the product, price range and a number of other variables.  The software will then search eBay for you and alert you with a pop-up box whenever a new Buy It Now listing is added or an auction nears closing that meets your specifications.

eBay sellers use this software to snap up very cheap items in order to resell them again for a profit. You can find it at http://www.getauctionalert.com.

So what does the future hold for you and where would you like to see yourself and your business in the future?

We’ll be continuing to work on making Auction Inspector even better, plus we’ve got a few other ideas in the pipeline, all relating to selling online.  Ultimately, we hope to have a toolkit of software and eBay selling products that will help streamline the online business process, making it easier for new sellers to make money.

Is there any other information you would like to add to help my readers learn more about you and your system?

The Auction Inspector software makes it very easy to find profitable niche ideas that you might otherwise never have considered.  Readers will also find our new Auction Inspector blog very useful. We regularly post articles on finding products to sell, starting an online business and selling tips for eBay.

Thanks very much for answering these questions. If people are interested in your software, they should visit Auction Inspector.
